Snook Fishing Jaco
Los Suenos Fishing Snook are caught year round in the rivers and river mouths on the Pacific Coast. Jaco Snook fishing are also caught in some of the rivers, lakes and lagoons along the Costa Rica fishing border.
The current World Record Snook was caught on the Pacific side of Costa Rica and the old record was caught just south of Jaco. There are lots of really big Snook fishing Jaco caught every year in Costa Rica.
On the Pacific side there is also a smaller species of Snook called the “Fat Snook”. They averages 5 pounds and if you catch a run you can get into some great fishing Costa Rica and great eating, averaging 20-30 fish per day.

The Sailfish fishing Los Suenos bite is above average year round. When the fishing is good, boats can average 20-40 Sailfish a day.
September, October and November are normally the best months for Marlin fishing Los Suenos. But, big Blue Marlin and Black Marlin are always around and the boats that target them usually have some success.
Tuna fishing Los Suenos are found throughout the year on the Pacific coast. It’s not uncommon to pick up a 100 plus pound Yellowfin when fishing for Sailfish.
The rest of the year, the bigger Mahi Mahi fishing Los Suenos are further offshore in the blue water with the bait and the Sailfish, 30 to 50 pound Dorado are very common when fishing for Sailfish.
Wahoo can be a pleasant surprise anytime of the year. Not many fisherman target the Wahoo fishing Los Suenos, they are usually caught while fishing for something else.
There are lots of jack crevalles and horse-eyed jack fishing Jaco to fill the fishing day with activity. Casting a two or three-inch popper along the rocks and current rips can land you roosterfish, jacks,or mackerels.

Known as well as dolphin fish or mahi mahi, the dorado fishing Los Suenos is one of the most exciting fish to catch on light tackle. This extremely colorful fish is an extremely fast swimmer. It’s been estimated that they can reach speeds of 50 mph in short bursts.
